He/Him

Thej is a junior from Atlanta, GA majoring in English with minors in Information Science, Law & Society, and South Asian Studies. He is passionate about technology and civil rights law with a focus on surveillance, digital privacy, and emerging technology. Combining these interests, he hopes to explore a career at the intersections of legal advocacy and tech policy.

Outside of KAPi, he is the Co-President of the Cornell Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, a member of South Asian Council’s Advocacy Committee, and an analyst for the Environment and Technology Center of Cornell Policy Group. This past summer Thej was a Nexus Scholar Research Assistant for Professor Bruce Levitt, investigating the transformative potential of theatre in prison systems. Thej is also currently an Advocacy Intern for the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, contributing to civic engagement and community-based education regarding surveillance, privacy, and discriminatory policing.

In his free time, Thej enjoys perfecting his chai recipe, saving tables in Libe Café, and making hyper-specific Spotify playlists.
