Arlene is a senior from Teaneck, NJ majoring in Industrial Labor Relations and minoring in Law & Society, Business, and Inequality Studies. She has a strong interest in immigration and civil rights law. This summer Arlene interned at the New York City Office of Collective Bargaining, gaining useful knowledge in the field of labor and employment law. Additionally, she also worked alongside ILR’s summer team conducting research on the effects of cannabis in the workforce. Previously, Arlene has also interned at a private firm, working under Partner Jerry Gonzalez on immigration and criminal cases. Outside of KAPi, Brother Arlene serves as the President of Quisqueya: Dominican Student Association, President of MILRSO (Minorities in ILR Student Organization), and as an ILR Peer Mentor. She is also an RA at Ganedago Hall, and works as the administrative assistant of ILR’s Office of Student Services. In her free time you can find her locking in at Catherwood Library, attached to the hip of her big Amara, or roaming campus with Brothers Thej and Owen . She enjoys cooking, journaling on the slope, and going on Dunkin’ runs.
