Owen Spargo

Owen is a junior from San Luis Obispo, California majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and minoring in Law and Society and Inequality Studies with a Health Equity focus. His legal interests are primarily in labor and employment law, and he is passionate about the use of the legal system to fight inequities in the world of work. On campus, he is a Project Manager for Social Business Consulting, a member of the Cornell University Parole Initiative, and works at the Herbert F Johnson Museum. Outside of Cornell, he is a undergraduate fellow for the NYS Bar Association's Labor and Employment Chapter, an Assistant Director for the International Model United Nations Association, and was a High Road Fellow where he researched improving the accessibility of public transportation in Buffalo for the Western New York Law Center. This past summer, he interned for Latham & Watkins LLP, researching the applications of Artificial Intelligence in improving the retention of diverse associates. In his free time, Owen enjoys reading creative nonfiction, trying new dinner spots with his little Evelyn, and making anything with matcha in it.
