Avery is sophomore from Montgomery County, MD studying English and Government. She is interested in First Amendment rights and how free press/speech law interacts with journalistic practice and media institutions. She has previously interned at a local news organization. On campus, she writes for The Daily Sun and works for the Child Witness and Cognition Lab. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, calling Michaela, and racing through the NYT Mini Crossword.
