Fiona Yin

Fiona is a sophomore studying Industrial and Labor Relations with minors in International Relations, International Markets and Development, and Law and Society. Her primary legal interest lies in international arbitration. On campus, Fiona is an editor for the Cornell International Affairs Review, a member of the Cornell Intellectual Property and Ethics Club, and a research assistant at the ILR Worker Institute, where she is studying the effect of private equity on low wage jobs and the impact of AI on the New York fashion industry. This past summer, Fiona was an ILR High Road Fellow in New York City. Off campus, Fiona is an intern at Lawyers Without Borders. Currently, she is helping to craft a proposal to utilize a Department of Labor grant for legal aid and monitoring efforts with the Tanzanian government towards fair labor standards in artisanal gold mines, and coordinating support for Kenyan law enforcement to prosecute online human trafficking networks, amongst other projects.
