Sophie Allen
Chapter President 2015-2016
Sophie Allen graduated in 2016 with a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations and a minor in Law and Society. Her favorite campus involvement was volunteering with the Cornell Prison Education Program. After graduation, she worked as an investigator at Brooklyn Defender Services. Sophie is currently a JD/PhD in sociology student at Stanford University, where she also co-leads the Stanford Prison Education Project. She appreciates KAPi for the wonderful friendships and camaraderie it facilitated.
“I am so thankful to my KAPi brothers for the support they have given me. From new member programming to mentorship from older members, KAPi gave me the resources to successfully apply to my ideal internships, land an amazing job after college, and eventually attend law school.
While KAPi helped me succeed in the professional world, members are much more than a network of intelligent and like-minded people. Members are thoughtful and kind, and they support me in all facets of my life. I met some of my closest college friends through this organization. I know that we will continue to be friends long after graduation.”
