Basim Hussain is a senior from West Lafayette, Indiana. He is in the College of Arts & Sciences, studying Government & Philosophy. He is interested in civil rights law and advocacy. Outside of KAPi, he serves as Director of Advocacy for the Cornell Asian Pacific Student Union and as editor of the environment column of The Advocate. Over the summer, he interned at the Centre for Democracy and Development, doing research on Boko Haram as well as misinformation across West Africa. In his free time, Basim enjoys listening to and making music as well as putting ramen in the microwave.
