Nate Tinbite
Nate is a student in the College of Arts and Sciences double-majoring in Philosophy and Government. He is born in Montgomery County, Maryland, and plans to spend his time after Cornell working in the Ed-Tech industry. At Cornell, Tinbite is a Tradition Fellow and member of the Humanities Scholars Program. He is also involved in BlackGen Capital. Currently, Tinbite is a columnist in Bethesda Magazine, a news publication based in the D.C. - Maryland - Virginia region. Last summer, he interned with the Maryland Governor’s Comptroller Office and worked on a campaign for Montgomery County Executive. Prior to Cornell, Tinbite served on the Montgomery Board of Education, where he oversaw one of the largest and most diverse school districts in the country. As a board member, he has fought to dismantle the School-to-Prison pipeline, introduce and expand CTE programs, increase college readiness support for non-English speaking students, and widen access to technology for impoverished students. Outside of the classroom, Tinbite enjoys landscape photography, Basketball, exploring new music, and friend/family time.
